Galeria Playera is a new gallery concept that attempts to explore the versatility of the media in which contemporary art is presented and collected nowadays. Inspired by the accessibility of print, Playera bets on the sale of works of art from a new channel: the Trading Card. These hand-signed and numbered super-limited edition cards house an original piece of unpublished work presented under the curatorship of Galeria Playera. Each release is equivalent to an individual sample of the artist and it is known as a “Drop Show”, which lasts from 24 to 72 hours in Pop Up style, in collaboration with different exhibition spaces. We're the first Trading Card Gallery for Contemporary Art.
